Stanley N. Blackman, O.D

Dr. Stanley Blackman graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1970. Upon graduation, he moved to Valparaiso and joined the optometric practice of Dr. Kenneth L. Justice.

In 1972, Dr. Blackman assumed ownership of the practice, upon Dr. Justice's retirement. Dr. Blackman is a 45-year member of the American Optometric Association and past secretary-treasurer, vice-president, and president of the Northwest Indiana Optometric Society. Dr. Blackman practices all aspects of optometry. He has extensive experience in contact lenses and primary care optometry.

Dr. Blackman and his staff have always strived to provide only the highest quality eye care to our patients. With a combination of excellent clinical knowledge, mutual respect for our patients, an office atmosphere of friendliness and professionalism, and a feeling-of-family toward our patients, our practice has remained successful for over 40 years.

Heather L. Jozwiak, O.D.

Dr. Heather Jozwiak is a 2005 graduate of Illinois College of Optometry. During optometry school, she was a member of the American Optometric Student Association, the National Optometric Student Association, and Volunteers in Optometric Service to Humanity (VOSH). In 2004, she traveled to the Dominican Republic on a mission trip with Illinois VOSH, performing several hundred eye exams and providing needed eyewear to the poor. She completed multiple externships in primary care, low vision, LASIK, contact lenses, and pediatrics at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Hospital, Gordon Binder & Weiss Vision Institute in La Jolla, California, and the Illinois Eye Institute. Dr. Jozwiak also provided eye care to our service men and women during a rotation at Camp Pendleton.

Dr. Jozwiak is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Northwest Indiana Optometric Society, serving as secretary-treasure of the Society from 2006 - 2009. Dr. Jozwiak is dedicated to providing quality eyecare to all patients.
